Jakova Innovation Center has started with the implementation of the project “STEP UP”, which is supported by Care Deutchland e.V Office in Kosovo, in the framework of the project “Participation of the Youth of Kosovo – KYP” financed by the Office of the European Union (EU) in Kosovo .

The overall goal of the project is to enhance the employment capacities of the youth in Gjakova by providing them with the skills and opportunities necessary to find or create jobs. The project is expected to contribute positively to several categories. This project’s primary objective is to have around 40-50% of participants be women and employ/intern them in local businesses. The project’s target milestone is to train 50 participants in soft skills, communication, digital, finance skills, and other particular skills in highly requested labor market fields. Afterward, we will recommend at least ten (10) outstanding participants to the businesses and stakeholders with whom we have created MoC. These businesses and stakeholders will then employ these participants. Additionally, we will connect at least twenty (20) other participants to these businesses and stakeholders, which will then offer internship opportunities to the participants. This will enable other citizens of the Gjakova region to feel more motivated about the creation of new employability opportunities.
