Empowering Communities Through Social Innovation
CDSIP Project marks key milestones in Gjakova

The Community-Driven Social Innovation Programme (CDSIP), implemented by Jakova
Innovation Center (JIC) and funded by the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg through LuxDev,
continues to make significant strides in fostering inclusive economic growth and empowering
underrepresented groups in Gjakova.

Over the first two quarters of implementation, the project has trained 109 participants in
entrepreneurship, business development, financial planning, and social impact measurement,
surpassing initial targets. Among them, 68% were women and nearly 30% belonged to Roma,
Ashkali, Egyptian, and other minority communities
A landmark moment came in June 2025 when six promising social enterprise ideas were
presented during a flagship workshop attended by local authorities, civil society
representatives, and the Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of Luxembourg in Pristina, H.E. Eric
Dietz. Originally, three initiatives were to receive support, but due to the importance of the
social entrepreneurial initiatives presented and their impact on communities and social
cohesion, all six ventures will now benefit from tailored mentorship, business planning
assistance, and financial support.

The selected initiatives include:
• EMPOWER.ED – Digital skills and mobility training for youth.
• Coffee Cycle Cosmetics – Circular economy-based skincare products.
• BeyondLimits – Inclusive creative production led by persons with disabilities.
• Medica Gjakova Shop – Retail and e-commerce for agro-products and handicrafts.
• Community Green-Care – Urban waste and cemetery services cooperative.
• Day Companion – Elder care and youth employment service.
Currently, the specialized workshops with all six teams are in their concluding phase, designed
to refine business models, strengthen operational planning, and prepare each initiative for full
implementation in the next project stage.
In the coming months, CDSIP will focus on structured mentorship programs and the
development of business plans and prototypes. These efforts will pave the way for the official
establishment of six social business enterprises that aim to deliver sustainable solutions to
community challenges while promoting social cohesion.
This initiative is carried out with the support of the “Support to Civil Society in Kosovo” project,
funded by the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and implemented by LuxDev, the Luxembourg
Development Cooperation Agency.

Fuqizimi i komuniteteve përmes Inovacionit Social
Projekti CDSIP shënon arritje të rëndësishme në Gjakovë

Programi për Inovacion Social të Udhehequr nga Komuniteti (CDSIP) i implementuar nga Jakova
Innovation Center (JIC) dhe i financuar nga Dukati i Madh i Luksemburgut përmes LuxDev, po
vazhdon të shënojë hapa të mëdhenj drejt fuqizimit të grupeve të nënpërfaqësuara dhe nxitjes
së rritjes ekonomike gjithëpërfshirëse në Gjakovë.
Gjatë dy tremujorëve të parë të zbatimit, projekti ka trajnuar 109 pjesëmarrës në sipërmarrje,
zhvillim biznesi, planifikim financiar dhe matje të ndikimit social, duke tejkaluar objektivat
fillestare. Nga këta, 68% ishin gra dhe gati 30% i përkisnin komuniteteve rome, ashkalinj,
egjiptianë dhe të tjerë minoritarë
Një moment kulmor erdhi në qershor 2025, kur gjashtë ide të ndërmarrjeve sociale u
prezantuan gjatë një punëtorie të nivelit të lartë me pjesëmarrjen e autoriteteve lokale,
përfaqësuesve të shoqërisë civile dhe të ngarkuarit me punë në Ambasadën e Luksemburgut në
Prishtinë, E.T. z Eric Dietz. Fillimisht, tre nisma duhej të mbështeteshin, por pas njoftimit të
Ambasadorit Dietz, të gjashta ndërmarrjet do të përfitojnë mentorim të personalizuar,
mbështetje financiare dhe asistencë në zhvillimin e planeve të biznesit.

Iniciativat e përzgjedhura janë:
• EMPOWER.ED – Trajnime për aftësi digjitale dhe mobilitet për të rinjtë.
• Coffee Cycle Cosmetics – Produkte kozmetike me ekonomi rrethore.
• BeyondLimits – Prodhime kreative gjithëpërfshirëse nga persona me aftësi të kufizuara.

• Medica Gjakova Shop – Dyqan fizik dhe online për produkte bujqësore dhe artizanale.
• Community Green-Care – Kooperativë për menaxhimin e mbeturinave dhe shërbime
komunale.
• Day Companion – Shërbime për të moshuarit dhe punësim për të rinjtë.

Aktualisht, punëtoritë e specializuara me të gjashtë ekipet janë në fazën përfundimtare, duke
përgatitur modelet e biznesit dhe planet operacionale për kalimin në fazën e zbatimit praktik.
Në muajt në vijim, CDSIP do të përqendrohet në mentorim të strukturuar dhe zhvillimin e
planeve të biznesit dhe prototipeve. Këto hapa do të çojnë drejt themelimit zyrtar të gjashtë
ndërmarrjeve sociale që synojnë të ofrojnë zgjidhje të qëndrueshme për sfidat komunitare dhe
të nxisin kohezionin social.

Ky aktivitet është realizuar me mbështetjen e projektit “Mbështetje për Shoqërinë Civile në
Kosovë”, i financuar nga Dukati i Madh i Luksemburgut dhe i implementuar nga LuxDev,
Agjencia e Luksemburgut për Bashkëpunim Zhvillimor.
